The Viking smoker grill! We have all bought an item or items on impulse and have later regretted that decision. Making such decision can be costly. We shouldn’t do that when buying a grill. The Viking smoker grill is not that expensive. When buying a Viking smoker grill you do expect to get enjoyment and longer use than the cheaper smoker grills that are available on the market.

Viking smoker grill  Viking smoker grills

One other advantage of purchasing a Viking smoker grill is it has a regulator. Sure other cheaper smoker grills have regulators but with the Viking smoker grill the advantage is that the regulator is adjustable and more flexible. With the Viking smoker grill all you need to do is set the regulator at the level of heat you want and just make the occasional trip back to check on how your food is cooking. Where as with other smoker grills you or some one need to keep a constant eye on the cooking food.

The Viking smoker grill has been designed to produce healthy and fresh smoke all the time. This just makes your cooked for more tantalizing.

Cleaning your Viking smoker grill is easy. Allow the grill to cool down before removing the grates. Another important step to remember is never pour water over the hot grates. This will damage and reduce the life span of the grates. Don’t wait a day or two to undertake the task of cleaning the grates. The dirt, grime or caked on food particles could become breeding grounds for bacteria.

Since the grates have cooled down, remove them and place them into soapy water for a while. Soaking in soapy water will soften and loosen any hard grim and burnt on food particles that may be attached to the grate. Using a stiff wire brush gently remove any loose, built up food and grime from the grates and allow to air-dry.

Now don’t forget the burners on your Viking smoker grill, they also need to be cleaned. If you have a charcoal grill remove the coal grate and brush inside. Cleaning the grass grill burners remove the lava rocks, briquettes or the metal flame burner. If you like you can wash the flame burner with soapy water making sure that you rinse well and leave the burner to air-dry before reassembling.

Another precaution you can take is to heat your Viking smoker grill for about 5 minutes. We want the grill completely dry before deciding to store your Viking smoker grill. We certainly don’t want to store wet or damp parts on your Viking smoker grill as this well help to bred bacteria and mold. And we don’t want this to happen.

Cooking out, barbecuing or grilling, just different terminology for the act of preparing food on a heat source outside the kitchen, outside the house even. In the past, grilling was man’s game, of course there was somebody there to do the prep work and the clean up, but flipping the burgers or searing the steaks was a job best suited for the man of the house. The bigger the grill, the more manly the man. Luckily those days are over and grills come in every size to fit in almost any space and you don’t have to sacrifice power or taste to get a grill that fits. A pedestal gas grill is the solution to the problem of "but where will I put it?"

You can get a pedestal gas grill in different styles; most of them are portable and can be used in places where larger grills or barbecues cannot fit. Some pedestal gas grills, however, can have the base permanently placed with a mounting unit. If you do choose to mount the pedestal for your grill, it is advisable to buy a cover for it. A pedestal gas grill on wheels can easily be moved if bad weather threatens or if you don’t have space in the yard or on the patio.

Pedestal Gas Grills

One small portable pedestal gas grill looks like a little robot, with a base that has a small diameter and a round head. It offers enough power to grill anything you could grill on a bigger unit, but within the confines of a condo balcony or a tiny little courtyard. You should probably check your association guidelines, if you have them, to make sure grilling is allowed. One of the units, the Del Mar by Magma, was designed for grilling by the sea, so it is sturdy and able to brave the elements. It is lightweight and portable; it uses those compact, lightweight canisters of propane that you find in the camping section. If you find it is perfect for you to use at home, too, it can be converted to natural gas.

A second pedestal gas grill looks like a regular gas grill at first glance, and then you realize it comes on a thinner base. It is designed not only to fit in small spaces, but it can also fit into a corner if space is really tight. This pedestal gas grill has a good size grilling area at 432 square inches, the gas tank is hidden, it has electronic ignition and fires up at 42,000 primary grilling BTUs. It’s convenient side shelves fold down when its time to put it away.

Buying a pedestal gas grill is a great way to keep the home fires burning if your home doesn’t have a yard, your yard doesn’t have space for a grill or you like to take your home and your barbecue on the road. You can find a pedestal gas grill that can go to the beach, to hide on your balcony or even sit in the corner. You certainly don’t have to give up the great taste of barbecue or modern grilling methods due to the lack of space.

Do you want to buy a bbq but you are limited on space? Then think out of the box and consider a pedestal gas grill, you won’t be dissapointed. Need more ideas and information on outdoor gas bbqs or gas grills?

Like most people we do on occasions like to cook outdoors, but selecting the right one from the many outdoor BBQ grills on the market can be a daunting process. Well, there is no need to get all tensed or overwhelmed. We will help and guide you through some of the options that are available.

You can certainly spend a large sum of money on outdoor BBQ grills. Keeping this in mind you need to set your budget before venturing out. It doesn’t matter whether it is a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars, it is easy to get caught up in the excitement of purchasing your new outdoor grill. Be strong and firm with yourself and stay within your budget.

             Outdoor charcoal bbq grill

Now decide whether the outdoor grill is for yourself and your family that will enjoy the odd meal outdoors, or will you be entertaining large groups of family and friends! There are some outdoor BBQ grills on the market that suit two people and some outdoor grills that literally have hundreds of square inches of cooking space. You really need to decide beforehand the needs and requirements of your outdoor BBQ grill.

A tabletop model that is meant for one or two people may well suit your needs if you rarely entertain, or you just want to cook outside on the odd occasion. However on the other hand the tabletop outdoor BBQ grills will make it difficult if you plan on cooking a meal for several people.

Which do we choose; the charcoal or the gas outdoor BBQ grills? This is not an easy question. The traditionalist will insist that charcoal gives the food a better taste or flavor. The dripping that comes of the meat mixes with the charcoal to create a more flavorful smoke that adds flavor to the meat while it cooks. If you are looking for outdoor charcoal BBQ grills there are plenty on the market to choose from.

Lets not forget that propane is considered safer to use than the charcoal. With a touch of a button ignites the gas BBQ grill. Forget about the matches and lighter fluid. Propane can be controlled much more easily than charcoal. The chances of flare-ups are reduced with propane.

Despite of the type of outdoor BBQ grills you may be considering to purchase, the important factor is learning how to use your new BBQ grill. So please read the manufacturer’s instructions. Now go out and try some new recipes.

Some tips and ideas on outdoor BBQ grills also we have many other articles on great outdoor BBQs.

Use these grilling tips to cook up delicious fare.

Bbq Grilling Tips

Where there is a puff of aromatic smoke billowing, you can be sure there is a barbecue grilling. One of the oldest forms of cooking is roasting food in an open fire. From there, it has evolved into the many grilling styles that are popular the world over, spilling their smoke-filled aromas and mouthwatering flavors into the air, as they create delicious and satisfying meals - from the savory gai yang chicken of Thailand to the scrumptious Jamaican jerk to the yummy carne asada of Mexico and the ever-popular spicy tandoori chicken from India. These days, you can get wood chips that are flavored with exotic spices, and bottled seasonings that will evoke exotic places right in your backyard. Plus, just about anything can be grilled with some innovative grilling ideas - from barbecued cabbage to grilled catfish to sizzling pineapple slices - you name it, and you sure enough can grill it.

Of course, like most other cooking methods, grilling too has controversy surrounding it. Of late, grilling has been linked to cancer. While it is indeed true that there is a risk, however, by following some simple grilling instructions, you can reduce the cancer causing risks. The two main cancer causing substances that grilling creates are Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) and Heterocyclic amines (HCA). These substances are formed when food, mainly meats, is put in direct contact with high flame or intense heat, which causes charring. PAHs and HCAs are usually formed from the fat in the meat. However, other cooking
methods like broiling and frying also cause these chemicals to be produced, so you need not give up on the delights of cooking and eating grilled food. Just keep in mind the following grilling tips to reduce the risks of cancer:

  • Choose foods which are nutrient rich, low in fat, and flavorful. If there is excess fat in the meat, trim it out. Since fats are the culprits, it is best to keep them at a minimum.
  • Use marinades. Not only do marinades add to the flavor of the food, but they reduce the formation of the substances that cause cancer. Marinades that contain citrus juices and/or olive oil are known to cut down these chemicals from forming. Marinades also make the meal much more palatable by tenderizing meat.
  • Partially precook meats in the microwave before slapping them on in the grill. According to studies, it has been shown that microwaving meats for about 2 minutes before grilling decreased the HCA content by as much as 90 percent. Plus, by pouring off the liquid that is formed during microwaving, the HCA is reduced even further.
  • Don’t allow flare-ups during the grilling. Foods are burnt with flare-ups, which increases the formation of HCA. Also, avoid overcooking foods. The bits of food that are charred are where there is the largest formation of HCAs and PAHs. Hence, if there are charred bits on the food, it is advisable to trim them off.

Besides the above grilling techniques for avoiding the formation of cancer causing agents, here are some basic tips on grilling to master the art of cooking up some really yummy food on your grill:

  • First of all, you need to take the meat out of your fridge in order to get it to room temperature before you can cook it. However, take care not to leave the meat out for more than an hour, or it may spoil.
  • Then get your grill ready by rubbing the grates with cooking oil, using a paper towel. Or, rub a piece of fat on the grates, using a pair of tongs, after they are heated a little. These methods are useful for keeping the food from sticking to the cooking area. Plus, cleaning up is far less messy and stressful.
  • Always remember to preheat the grill, bringing it up to the required cooking temperature, before putting the meat on the grates. Gas grills need to be turned on at least 5 minutes prior to cooking. If you use a charcoal grill, it is better to allow the
coals to burn for at least an hour before cooking.
  • It is best make two zones in your grill - a warm one and a hot one. If you use a gas grill, see that one side is on high, while the other is at low. If you use a charcoal grill, the trick is to push most of the brickets towards one side. This will help you cook the pieces of meat evenly by moving them from low to high heat periodically.
  • Never layer on the barbecue sauce, or any sauce that contains sugar, until the end stages of the grilling. When meat is barbecued, usually the sauce is spread on it early in the process, and frequently. However, the high temperature will cause the sugar to burn, and spoil the taste. Instead, baste the meat with a marinade or vinegar sauce, and let your guests help themselves to the barbcue sauces from the table.
  • Once you put the meat on the grate, let it cook for a while. It requires about 10 minutes of cooking on high heat for the surface of the food to be cooked enough to release easily, without sticking and tearing off when turned.
  • Always use a spatula or tongs when you handle the meat in the grill. Using a fork to pierce meat while it is cooking is not a good idea, as all the yummy juices will escape, plus making the meat too dry.
  • If you precook the food partially in a microwave or in a cooking range, finish the cooking immediately on the grill. Do not allow it to stand in room temperature or refrigerate it before grilling.
  • And finally, soon after you finish cooking, use a wire brush to scrape and clean the grates. It is easier to clean it up when it is still warm.

Grilling can be a healthy and fun way to cook up tasty food. It is a great way to get your friends and family together. Let them join in, and see how enjoyable the venture can be.

Cooking with a charcoal grill can provide a flavor that isn’t found when cooking with seemingly more modern gas grills. A good charcoal grill will give the meat you cook a classic BBQ flavor. Charcoal grills come in many different styles and the one that is right for you will depend of exactly what you are trying do to. You can find grills that are portable and great for a picnic, right on up in size to large cooking pits built in backyards made of brick and cement.

charcoal grill portable  portable charcoal grill

What kind of charcoal grill is right for you? You need to think of exactly what you want it for. It is important to consider if portability is important, it is if you intend to take the grill with you on picnics or camping. You will also need to consider how much food you are going to need to be cooking at any time. The small grill that is easy to toss into the trunk may not serve you very well if you need to cook for five people. Consider the cooking area the charcoal grill you are considering will provide.

When cooking with charcoal grill safety is a major concern. The most important part of the grill in this respect are the legs. If the legs are not sufficient or are unsafe the whole grill will tip over. When a charcoal grill falls over it throws its load of extremely hot coals. Check to be sure that the legs of any grill you are considering buying has very sturdy legs that won’t allow the grill to fall.

In addition to good legs some charcoal grills will provide a water reservoir that can be used to douse some or all of the coals if the heat becomes too much. Even if your grill doesn’t have that feature you should keep a metal bucket of water around for dousing the coals when you have finished cooking. Let coals cool down first then you need to dump the coals into the water slowly, watch out for the steam that may be produced. Don’t throw the water on the coals that will make a large mess.

Once you have your charcoal grill all picked out you will need to buy charcoal when you intend to use it. The coal is available at most supermarkets and hardware stores and is not at all expensive. In order to get the coal burning you will need to buy some lighter fluid. The coals are placed in the grill and stacked in a pyramid. Once stacked they are then doused in lighter fluid, after allowing a second for the fluid to soak into the pile it can be set ablaze. Allow the coal to get burning red hot, spread it around the grill and then enjoy cooking your dinner.

So you have decided that you want to start barbequing. What more, you have done your research and decided that a charcoal grill is the right type of grill for you. So now you have to pick out the charcoal grill that suits you best.

One of the first things to consider when purchasing your first charcoal grill is what you will be using it for. If you plan on traveling and using your charcoal grill, you will want something small enough to travel with you. Smaller charcoal grills are ideal for cookouts, camping, and tail gate parties, but would not be useful if you were cooking for a larger amount of people. Smaller grills that are easy to transport usually cost under 20 dollars, so you may want to consider purchasing a separate grill for smaller occasions.

                     portable charcoal grill

Safety should also be a major concern when you are picking out your first charcoal grill. Since you grill will contain hot coals, the number one concern should be whether or not your grill is sturdy. Look for a charcoal grill with a sturdy structure and sturdy legs. If you grill does now have sturdy legs, it’s chances of falling over is much greater. When a charcoal grill falls over, it send hot coals flying. Many charcoal grills also have built in safety features such as a water reservoir and smothering valves. Undoubtedly, when you are cooking with fire, accidents can happen. In the case that your grill gets out of control or becomes to hot, these safety features will prevent potentially dangerous fires.

One of the most noticeable features when using charcoal is the flavor of the food you cook. To cook with a charcoal grill, you must buy charcoal briquettes and lighter fluid. Charcoal is a one use item, and will need to be discarded after each use. Charcoal can be picked up at your local superstore, gas station, or grocery store, and is typically pretty inexpensive. While no one likes to clean their grill, it is necessary to maintain your grill if you want it to last it’s intended lifetime. One problem you will face is the fact that Charcoal grills stay hot for a long period of time. You can remedy this situation 2 ways. First you can leave your grill open, allowing it to burn out. This method typically burns a lot of the grease off, but can potentially cause problems if you are not near your barbeque grill. You do not want to start a fire. Another way is to completely close off your grill and deny the fire oxygen. As soon as the grill is cold, or cold enough not to burn you, you will want to clean the grill. Leaving the grill dirty for any amount of time will cause the buildup to become hard, and may make it harder to remove. Use a wire brush to clean off the surface areas of your grill, and then spray cooking oil on the surface. Take the racks off and clean them with dishwashing soap. Dawn or other brands that have degreasers work best. Rinse the racks off, and replace them in the grill.

The question is do you use a Natural Gas Grill or a Charcoal Grill for your next barbeque. The great American Barbecue is a wonderful way to bring family and friends together on a pleasant sunny afternoon for good eats and good company. Just for fun, there are six ways to spell BBQ in the English Language; all six have been used here-see if you can spot them all and how many times we used them.

As you know there are BBQ purists that think sizzling up a few steaks on a grill is not real unless it is done on a charcoal grill. Then there are those that feel their sizzled steaks or burgers are just as good if not better on a red hot Natural Gas grill. Over the years there have been many heated debates about which grill is better, Natural Gas or charcoal. Some of the differences affect the length of cooking time, taste of the food being cooked and how to clean up the mess afterward. The bottom line is that the differences between the grills are safety, flavor, cost and convenience. Here we will concentrate on Charcoal and Natural Gas grills. If you want to learn more about Smoker grills go to Natural-Gasgrill.com.

The number one and biggest difference between a Charcoal and a Natural Gas Barbeque Grill is a biggie, and that is the cost. The Charcoal Grill will be your most inexpensive grill by far. You can purchase one of these grills for as little as thirty dollars if you look to a small Hibachi type model, which is perfect for someone with no backyard or very limited space. Of course, with all consumer goods, charcoal grills can be found upwards of $400.00 but that is for the very serious aficionado of charcoal grilling. A middle ground price for a Charcoal Grill will run about $75.00-$125.00 and are considered a good quality for the money with lasting ability.

natural gas barbecue grill

Now Natural Gas barbecues are another whole ball of wax. You can spend upwards of $14,000.00 on an ~all the bells and whistles~ Natural Gas grill. No, that is not the norm. From your Home Improvement store you can find a very functional Natural Gas Grill for about three hundred dollars that will last for some time. This will depend on how it is treated. If it is out in the elements get a cover, if you live in a very humid area, rust will eventually get it so you may want to spend a little more money more to combat that factor. The cost of Natural Gas Bar-BQ grills will go up with each feature added. Natural Gas Grills come with huge grates sizes, four or five burners, side tables and/or burners, warmer ovens, even small refrigerators. The more down to earth models which can be very good quality will range from $400.00 to $1,500.00. These will have some of the better features like side burners but certainly not a refrigerator. According to the care you provide they can last from 12 to 15 years.

The next issue to address is the size of the grill you will need for your cooking efforts. If you are only using it for small parties or for the family on weekends, you don’t have to go all out and buy a grill that will Bar-B-Que twenty pounds of meat and potatoes at one time. It is possible to find a good grill to fit your grilling style at a very good price.

Convenience, for some is the most important aspect of the entire grilling world. And, for the ultimate in convenience, the Natural Gas Grill tops the Charcoal Grill by far. Natural Gas Grills have push button starters for an instant fire (you still have to heat it up). You can grill for much longer periods of times without having to replenish the fuel. The ability to raise and lower the heat gives you the option of controlling the temperature of the foods being grilled. You will never have to worry about the wind since the heating comes from below and they heat more evenly over the surface grates. Clean up is virtually a snap since it only requires you to heat the grates and scrape with a wire brush. The one disadvantage is if you run out of gas. If you do not have an extra tank your grill will cool quickly and the Bar-BQ will be a disaster.

These are things you should think about when deciding which BBQ you will purchase. With all of the conveniences mentioned above for Natural Gas Grills. Charcoal grills have a few deficits. It will take at least 30 minutes to heat the charcoal to the required temperature. The ash residue left by the charcoal will have to be cleaned out and thrown away. You do not have the option of burning off the leftover bits of meat left on the grate so you will have to clean it yourself with a bit of good old fashion elbow grease. And because you do not have the ability to regulate the temperature, you will have to rotate the food to find hot spots and then to cold spots for proper and thorough cooking.

For some, this little bit of extra work is acceptable in order to get that genuine Barbeque flavor for their steaks on a grill, burgers or ribs that they swear Natural Gas Grills don’t provide. Charcoal Grills simply do not have the ease of Natural Gas Grills when cooking a Bar-B-Que, but for serious BBQ artists it’s the ritual that counts. When you are thinking of buying a new Barbecue, think of how you want to do your cookouts. If you love to come home from work and throw something on the ~Barbie~, for a quick meal then Natural Gas Grill is the grill for you. However, if you only Bar-BQ on the weekends and you love the procedures of the real cookout experience buy a quality Charcoal Grill. There is really nothing about Charcoal Grills that is more convenient than with Natural Gas grills, but convenience is not everything and many people argue that the ritual associated with charcoal grills is simply part of having a Barbeque.

The last thing to consider and this is a big one, is safety. There are many schools of thoughts on this aspect. Some say that more accidents happen with Charcoal Grills but more serious accidents happen with Natural Gas Grills. Consider these factors and use them in your judgment as to whether you will buy a Natural Gas Grill or a Charcoal Grill. Charcoal Grills being so much lighter then the Gas Grills it is easier to tip them over. Using starter fluid is always dangerous and this is where most injuries occur with Charcoal Grills. Never, ever use starter fluid on the charcoal after the coals have been lit, you risk burning yourself and your food will taste like starter fluid and not barbeque. There is a greater risk of a flare up with charcoal but that by no means says it will not happen with Natural Gas Grills. Common sense tells you that you should keep both of them away from structures that can ignite. For the greatest safety when using a Charcoal Grill verses a Natural Gas Grill is to buy pre-soaked briquettes which need no starter fluid at all.

With a Natural Gas Grill you will not have to use starter fluid but you must be very attentive to the manufactures instructions. Little things like leaving the gas on too long before you hit the ignition button could be very dangerous. Heed the manufactures requirements for maintenance especially for hoses and the gas container, for leaks.

Safety is the utmost priority when it comes to all grills. Don’t drink and barbecue, wait until after the cooking to imbibe. Watch the children when the grills are lit, keep them far way from the hot grills. By just using a little common sense you should prevent all accidents from happening whether you have a Natural Gas Grill or a Charcoal Grill.

Last but not least, is the forever debate about flavor and this should be one of your considerations when buying a grill. Many BBQ chefs swear by the smoky flavor of the Charcoal Grill when cooking their steaks on a grill and would cook on none other. But on the other side of the coin many gas grillers say that there is no difference. There is a little truth in both of their statements. There was a blind study done where people where asked to taste two hamburgers, one from the Natural Gas Grill and one from the Charcoal Grill. None of them tasted a difference in the hamburgers but when it came to steaks on a grill, the juicy, smoky flavor from the Charcoal Grill won every time. To combat this, some manufactures of Natural Gas Grills have added flavor bars made out of ceramic to give the meat a more genuine BBQ flavor. The theory is that the bars catch the fat dripping from the meat and vaporizes it giving off a more smoky taste.

All of this information will by no means end the debate. If you can, buy a Natural Gas Grill and a Charcoal Grill giving you both options for your Bar-B-Que. If you purchase a small Charcoal Grill it will be portable to take on vacations or to a neighbor’s house for overflow cooking. Whether you buy a Natural Gas Grill or a Charcoal Grill we wish you a happy Bar-BQ in your backyard or on your next picnic. If you are considering purchasing a new grill, or barbecue, you will be faced with a multitude of options to choose between. However, there is one choice which you will need to make fairly quickly in your quest for the perfect grill for you. That decision is whether to buy a charcoal or gas grill.

Both charcoal and gas grills have advantages over each other depending on what you are looking for and how you intend to use it. However, the good news is that they both produce food which has been found to have very little difference in taste. Whether you choose the gas or charcoal version you can rest assured that they will both have the capability to produce great tasting fare.

              Charcoal And Gas Barbecue Grills

For many, a barbecue is not a proper barbecue if it does not involve cooking over hot coals. This can take a long time to be at the optimum cooking temperature and can be difficult to master, and in addition there are ashes to be dealt with once the cooking is over. However, the primal instinct in many people (particularly men!) makes the charcoal grill appeal to them as they are required to start and tend the fire for the duration of the time for which they are cooking. In addition, many feel that cooking over coals gives the food a distinctive taste and smell which you do not get with a gas grill. However, as mentioned previously, this has not been found to be the case.

A gas grill can make life less complicated. The flames are produced at the touch of a button and the temperature can be controlled at the turn of a knob. This is more like cooking over a traditional kitchen cooker, only outside. A gas grill also removes the debris once the cooking is over as there are no coals to clean up.

As you can see, both types of grill have their advantages. However, it is important to think about your use of your grill before making your decision. If you plan to use it infrequently you may prefer a charcoal grill as they are less costly. A gas grill will cost more to buy, but if you are going to use it regularly it will become more efficient over time. For the newcomer to the grill, a charcoal grill may be the most sensible option. If you find you are using it a lot and it is becoming expensive to buy new coals you will then have the opportunity to upgrade to a gas barbecue if you wish. If you splash out for a gas grill immediately you may find that if you use it infrequently it will be an unnecessary expense that you need not have made.

Whichever you choose, there is little between the two types of grill in terms of the quality of the food cooked on them. Make your decision wisely and your grill is sure to be enjoyed on many occasions over time and makes a great addition to any summer evening.

The dispute overhe one charcoal versus gas is one you do not wish to get in the middle of.The straightforward factor you need to understand is that it is a question of preference and usability. To take in the whole gamut of grills enter to this record electric grills, pellet grills and hardwood cooking as well. Ask yourself what you really need, depending on how much space you have, how important is the taste and flavor to you, and how much you are willing to shell out.

Convenience: The foremost way to think about this issue is to learn that usually the more convenient a grill becomes, the less genuine smoke flavor you are going to get. An electric grill is probably one of, if not the easiest to operate, but it doesn’t have that genuine fire flavor. On the other hand, hardwood fires will grant you the best grilled flavor, but they are the hardest to work with.

Authenticity: The real smoky, off the fire aroma of grilled foods is strongest when you use the barbecue’s primary heat source, wood. As you move to electric grills, you will find remarkably limited of this flavor left. In fact, several electric grills impart virtually nil to the taste of foods. However, the simplicity of switching on a knob and start grilling can’t be beat.

Taste: On the issue of taste, a recent survey was done a while back where individuals were presented with hamburgers and steak, both of which were cooked on gas and charcoal. No one could make apparent the distinction between the charcoal and gas grills when it came to the hamburgers, but they could affirm the change with the steak. The charcoal grilled steak just had stronger and smokier flavor.

Space: To resolve what type of grill is well-suited for you, think about where the grill is going to sit. A pint-sized patio or covered area is not the location for a sizeable charcoal grill. Electric grills cause no flare - ups and are safer in smaller areas. Gas grills do create flare - ups and need to be away from any structure to prevent those pesky house fires. Charcoal can be lit with an electric starter and accordingly can be used with virtually no open flame.

Grilling: Another thing to examine is how you plan to grill. If you want to be able to come home from work and toss a pair of steaks or chicken breasts on the grill with virtually no bother then electric or gas might be what you are looking for.

Cost: Ultimately there is the price. Gas grills are typically more costly than electric or charcoal, with charcoal being the cheapest. If you don ‘ t want to spend a lot of dough then charcoal might be the answer. However, charcoal is the more expensive fuel. You can easily spend $5.00 a cookout on charcoal, while gas might cost around $0.20 per cookout. This means that charcoal fuel won’t save you money in the long run.
